WHAT IS A PSYCHOLOGIST?

Psychologists are mental health professionals with expertise in the science of human behavior and personality, in diagnosis and psychological testing, in treating emotional problems, and in changing behavior. Psychologists apply scientifically validated procedures to help people better cope with life's challenges. All licensed psychologists in Florida have a doctoral degree in psychology, with over 7 years of post-baccalaureate training, including clinical internship and supervised practice.
